Golden Plains Festival Featuring Public Enemy + Ticket Information

Public Enemy Australian Tour Golden Plains Festival 2014

Public Enemy Australian Tour Golden Plains Festival 2014

Golden Plains Festival organisers have announced that the festival is all set to return with the first official ticket ballot imminent.

The Golden Plains festival will run over three music-filled days, from Sunday the 8th of January to the Monday 10th. The festival will be held at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre.

Tickets are allocated through a ballot with the Subscriber Ticket Ballot ensuring that subscribers get priority when tickets are released. The ballot has two rounds – Wednesday, 23rd October and Wednesday 30th – giving new subscribers the chance to grab the tickets.

Ballot winners are emailed a Golden Code for the Online Ticket Box Office, giving them seven days to purchase up to three tickets (or before the tickets sell-out, so best be quick!)

Currently there is only one ticket for sale, known as the Full Golden Plains Experience. It gives fans access to all events Saturday to Monday, plus camping and parking. It costs $319 + $10 booking.

The festival is known for being different to others thanks to its out-there set of rules. These include fans to BYO drinks, food etc, a “No D!ckhe@ds” rule and a One Stage Policy so that musos never miss a beat.

Meanwhile, organisers also want to stress that the first band that’s signed up for the 2014 festival is hip-hop legends Public Enemy.

The elder hip-hop game-changers are living legends in their field, influencing modern day musicians including Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Professor Griff, DJ Lord and the baNNed.

To enter the second ballot visit the official Golden Plains website before the 30th of October. Golden Plains –

Kanye West Kicks Off “Yeezus” Tour

Kanye West’s first Yeezus show kicked off on Seattle a couple of nights ago – and boy don’t we wish he were coming back to Australia already?

The show has already received critical acclaim with West going above and beyond to showcase his fans just how much he loves himself…and them of course.

In one sequence, Kanye West stood atop a mountain with his followers watching beneath him, while he rapped it out. And if that wasn’t enough, dancers carried the rapper around so he didn’t have to walk!

The rapper also unveiled a series of ’80s metal inspired designs, including a skeleton draped in the Confederate flag (referencing his latest song, New Slaves) and another skeleton of a Native American in tradition dress with the words “God Wants You”.

West also showcase some behind the scenes footage, and some fan-filmed footage while his minions danced to all his classic beats – Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Hey Mama, Heard ‘em Say and Power. West also ensured his fans that they got a taste of his new songs, including On Sight, New Slaves, Blood On The Leaves.

Tickets for the show cost $120, but at least fans got a plain white T-shirt in the process. Australians would have to pay the $120 without the shirt. Still no news though of Kanye returning to Australian shores, but we will keep you informed!
